- Is website maintenance included?
No, website maintenance is not included or part of any website hosting.
However, we do have plans for website maintenance, see plans here.
Note: Not all customers can be catered for website maintenance, this will likely be the case if you have a bespoke website that's not using a known CMS / eCommerce platform (i.e. Wordpress, OpenCart, Magento, etc.).
- Do I need technical knowledge to host a website?
Knowing a bit about FTP does help, as it is the easiest way to upload your site to your hosting package. However, the applications included in your plan, along with the user-friendly control panel make it easy to get your website online. We also have a huge support database with plenty of step-by-step articles and videos to help you along the way.
- How long does it take to set up?
Most packages are set up immediately, and you can get your website online right away. In some cases, it might take a few days for the domain to fully register and point to your hosting package. This is perfectly normal and happens across every web host -it just takes time for the servers and the domains to sync up.

Unfortunately no, Every site hosted on Broadbent Group Ltd needs to be associated with a domain in order to work.
- What if I already own a domain?
If your domain name is already registered with Broadbent Group Ltd, and you’re not using it with another one of our services, then you can attach it to your web hosting package when you order.
If your domain is registered with another company, there are two ways to use it with your hosting package:
1. Transfer it to Broadbent Group Ltd and then attach it to your package.
2. Leave the domain name where it is and point it at your hosted site on Broadbent Group Ltd.
- Can I upgrade my package?
Absolutely! Our hosting plans are designed to scale up with your business. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your online store global, your website grows with you.
When you’re ready to take it to the next level, you can easily upgrade. Just log into your Broadbent Group Ltd account and upgrade when ready, and the new cost of your package will be added for you.
- Do you use green energy to run your data center?
Yes! We have our very own solar and battery storage system, providing power to our data center (keeping our costs low and our data center green). If we have a bad solar day or using more than we can generate we will pull from the grid, however locally there is also a solar farm nearby.
